Mayur Gondhea

Finance professional with 18 years’ experience working in advisory (Navigant, Amberside), regulation (Ofgem) and investment banking (Merrill Lynch Westpac). Has delivered a range of mandates across energy and infrastructure for banks, equity sponsors, government agencies and regulators.

 

Poonam Mohabeer

Accountant who has experience working in finance teams across a range of industries. Experienced financial modeller who has extensive finance and accounting experience. Poonam also has an MBA and is a member of ACCA. She is fluent in 4 languages including English, French, Hindi and Creole. 

 

Khushal Thakrar

Khushal is a part-qualified accountant who has been the modeller for 11 price controls – including model audit/review – across different regulatory sectors including water, aviation, energy and telecoms. He is a graduate from the University of Warwick in Mechanical Engineering. Outside of work, Khushal enjoys playing tennis, going to the gym and travelling.

 

Marion De Souza

Banking director with over 25 years experience working in the financial services industry for banks including UBS and Lloyds Banking Corporation. Qualified accountant (ACCA, then FCCA). Currently Chair of Hillingdon Parent Carers forum which partners with the London Borough of Hillingdon, promoting co-production with parents/carers of children with special needs, to help design and shape the services offered by the local authority.

Preenal Gondhea

Chartered surveyor and real estate professional with 15+ years’ experience with a track record in acquisition and asset management of commercial/retail/residential properties in the UK, Germany, Spain and Luxembourg.  Experience includes launching and managing a global real estate fund which raised $200m+ at the first closing.  Part of the acquisitions team that purchased ‘The Gherkin’ (30 St Mary Axe) London for in excess of £700m.

Noel Forrest

Noel has 10+ years’ experience working in financial modelling. He has deep technical expertise of Excel, VBA project finance and company modelling. Noel’ specialist areas include UK real estate investment, Infrastructure project finance, Solar power project development, Corporate finance.

 
 

John Newton

A CIPFA qualified accountant with extensive experience in public sector strategic contracting. Has led or advised on over £2bn of deals across the UK, in areas such as corporate services, IT, waste, civic facilities and education. As an Associate, John is skilled in options appraisals, procurement design, commercial deal shaping, leading complex dialogue/negotiations, and setting up client side governance and contract management processes. He is a former director in Deloitte’s consulting practice, with prior experience in local government.

 

Ryan Tanna

Corporate finance professional and chartered accountant with investment experience across infrastructure, renewables and, more recently, the mid-market. Previously in M&A advisory at EY before joining the investment team of an infrastructure fund where he deployed over £1.5bn of equity into a number of leveraged acquisitions (typically project finance). Now a board adviser and consultant to a number of SMEs.

David Jones

Over 18 years of experience in the development, structuring, analysis, and audit of large scale cashflow secured financings. David has extensive experience providing quality assurance work and valuation modelling to shareholders and funds. He has managed and delivered model builds, training and audits at Operis and performed a financial modelling role within HSBC’s project finance team.

Malcolm Greenbaum

Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor. Malcolm is a cross-border tax and accounting expert in IFRS, US GAAP, UK Tax and VAT. He provides consultancy services to infrastructure and utilities companies, as well as delivering UK tax and VAT update programmes to accounting and law firms. Malcolm has been providing advice to CFO and finance teams of CubicoInvest and EDF Energy Renewables for many years.

Nick Farrington

A Chartered Accountant with 24 years of advisory experience including 10 years with Deloitte corporate finance.  Has advised on a range of large-scale procurements, from strategic partnerships to large infrastructure projects, options appraisals, contract reviews and contract renegotiations.  Infrastructure experience includes more than 15 infrastructure schemes varying in value between £100m and £1.2bn, including both debt and balance sheet financing.

Freddie Waite

Freddie has a background in social investment and business modelling. He spent six years in the investment team at Big Society Capital, an independent financial institution with a mission to improve the lives of people in the UK through investment with a sustainable return, where he oversaw financial model development, reviews and training. Prior to that, he spent four years with EY in their business modelling team, on projects covering energy, FMCG, UK and foreign government policy.

 

Andrew Stone

Extensive infrastructure experience initially working in telecoms sector from 1974 to 2008 and then in the energy sector, working for Ofgem from 2008. Initially he occupied a number of engineering posts within BT, Finance Director of Cable London PLC and set up Telecommunications Consultancy in 1996 which operated worldwide.

Hugh Riches

Recent graduate from the University of Edinburgh, currently a financial analyst and modeller for CubeLynx. Previously worked for Dragon Capital, an Asian-based independent asset manager with US$3bn under management. Whilst at CubeLynx Hugh has supported on various financial model mandates including a template for a large scale property developer and a retail/hospitality sector operational model. When he’s not working Hugh enjoys tennis, swimming and reading.

Richard Chandler

Richard is a highly experienced specialist in Microsoft Excel including VBA and has comprehensive IT/data literacy. He has extensive experience of Fixed Asset accounting and Management Accounting. CIMA Passed Finalist with a comprehensive understanding of the Finance function.

 

Ben Barnard

Ben recently joined CubeLynx as of October 2022. He started off undergoing financial modelling training internally provided by CubeLynx and put this training into practice by working on the recent Ealing Council project. Ben will continue within his training whilst progressing through various financial modelling projects. Prior to CubeLynx, Ben studied Mechanical engineering at UCL. Outside of work, Ben plays the guitar, and plays football on the weekends.

 

Darcey Isaacs

Darcey joined CubeLynx as a graphic designer, to provide support within marketing. Initially she received financial modelling training, like all new joiners receive, but decided to stay within marketing as this is what she enjoys most. Since joining she’s worked on various tasks such as designing business cards, and editing CubeLynx marketing material. Outside of CubeLynx, Darcey enjoys swimming, reading and playing badminton.

Matthew McLintock

Chartered investment professional with extensive investment and asset management experience within the infrastructure and renewable energy sectors. Previously held investment roles at John Laing Capital Management and Dalmore Capital, helping raise over £800m of capital from investors and deploying over a £1bn across multiple sectors and geographies.

Jorg Hardt

Jorg is an associate specialised in the energy & waste sector combining an engineering (MSc, Dipl. Ing. FH) and financial background (FCCA) with strong analytical, business, and commercial skills. He has more than 20 years’ experience in providing commercial and financial advice for limited recourse financed renewable & conventional power projects and has extensive experience in leading all modelling aspects of a transaction from early structuring to supporting the financial close process.

 

David Stone

David has 25+ years experience in the telecoms sector. With expertise in fibre networks and broadband to advise C-level executives, investors, and operators on regulation, business development, and strategy. He has a unique commercial perspective that combines public and private sector insights, as well as a deep understanding of the dynamics and challenges of the industry. For the past 9 years, he has been in the broadband, infrastructure, and regulation space; originating and developing investment proposals and leading complex transactions.

 

St.John Hoskyns

St.John has 16+ years policy and commercial experience across the energy/infra sector including advisory, fund raising and direct development. Worked across a variety of energy technologies, including battery storage, EV, biomass and EfW. As part of CoGen’s development developed biomass and EfW projects UK and internationally. He worked in Government, in particular UK Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC), across economic development, innovation, energy and climate issues.

 

Nicole Fitzgerald

Nicole has spent 20+ years in advising both public & private sector clients in the outsourcing, public private partnerships and property sectors. She has extensive experience in understanding the key link between commercial structure, technical solution and financial outcomes of large-scale projects.

Nicole specialises in financial model development & management; commercial strategy and delivery; contractual negotiations, challenging technical solution to enhance value and payment mechanism development, risk assessment and evaluation.

Luke Thomas

Worked in the Heat Network sector for over 20 years. He has phenomenal experience in driving HN development, developing heat pricing strategies for various projects, including those self-delivered by Cofely District Energy, and public sector schemes such as the Seaham Garden Village scheme (Durham) and Stoke-on-Trent. Whilst a Project Engineer and later Projects Director at Cofely District Energy, expanded several large-scale city centre district energy schemes.
